We are a small charity which relies entirely on the efforts of volunteers. The work of volunteers makes a huge difference to our operations. Volunteering with The Elmet Trust gives you the opportunity to promote interest in the life and works of Ted Hughes, put your skills to good use, and be part of the local community. We need volunteers for no more than a few hours at a time, and most of our activity is focused on preparing for and delivering the annual Ted Hughes Festival in October.

We also need people who are willing to act as ambassadors for the Trust at events run by community groups across Calderdale.

We’ll ensure that you are fully briefed on the work of the Trust and will explain clearly what we’d like you to do.
